I used to buy them from Costco and honestly didn't find that there was much of a difference.  I think it was less carbonated but that was about it.  So many people say it that we accept it as truth in our minds.

so it is close the original recipe (minus da coke)

but I don't think Mexican Coca-Cola is exactly the same as it was here in the US before the mid-80's & the 'New Coke' marketing campaign
it is sweeter i think, sweeter than the Pepsi sold everywhere with corn syrup in it
