thank God nike offered him a good contract or else we wont be rocking classic jays. instead addidas or converse. lol

He prefered Adidas more than Converse.
Not sure why he didn't wear Adidas back in his UNC and 1984 Olympic days. Probably because UNC's relationship with Converse.
But yeah, he did wear Adidas before Nike signed him.
Some of you might already know this, Mike wanted to get out of Nike somewhere around in between IIs and IIIs.

Jordan wore the Air Ship as a rookie. Then once the Air Jordan was made he wore them the rest of his rookie year.

That pic is from IU's Assembly Hall. Probably an open to the public scrimmage for the Olympic team or possibly from the tryouts that were also held inBloomington.
