Has anyone here ever heard of georgetown prep high school? They're an all boys boarding school in Maryland that charges 44 grand a year. My high school team went down there over the weekend and we got wrecked. They had some amazing ball players like their center fielder who's forearms were the size of my thighs and a catcher who's going to Maryland and hit a ball that went about 425. i'm guessing somebody in the yankees equipment department decided to enforce the black spikes policy.... i don't know how an equipment manager goes about telling that to a $161M world champ ace who just happens to be 6'7"/290 effectively, but i wouldn't be shocked if a message was relayed to the dugout from management/ownership.

if they let CC slide on this one, arod and jeter have both worn white/grey spikes in ASGs, and would probably want to rock them regular season, and then there's a slippery slope. as hot as i think those XIs look, as a mets fan even i gotta give props to the yanks for sticking to their guns on this one.
