Need Boots for Cold Weather

I'm going down to Vermont for college in two weeks and I was told to prepare for ridiculously strong winters. Can I get any recommendations?

I plan on getting these myself. From reviews, seem to be great quality, can hold up in rain and snow, and i think they look great. They are by LL Bean. Not being sold right now, but will be released again this fall. I think they'll go for around 150
