Dallas' O line is too good. Can't get any pressure on Dak. He has too much time and he's calm. It's a real bad look. Jenkins has been cool. So has Snacks. Offense gotta do better. O line isn't protecting Eli
Kinda hard to gauge the D-line against Dallas. Vernon was impressive doe. And JPP was looking fast out there too. Nearly shed a tear seeing that salsa.
Defense was cool. We didn't get the pressure we needed but you don't really get pressure on Dallas with that line. Run defense was solid. Zeke was 20/51. That's like 2.5 a carry. Janoris made some plays so did Apple and DRC. I'm still not sold on Landon. I liked what I saw from the offense. 3WRs. O line is a big problem though. Overall, a lot of new players and they gotta mesh so it takes time. Not a bad first game. I didn't like that we punted at the end of the game but we won so I'm good. That Eli INT had me sick though. He panicked and just threw it. Didn't even check first. Gotta throw it away.
Whats wrong with Landon? His contact on dez forced him to not control it he was right on a star WR in the endzone. Not only that these dudes didnt get any YAC on us. safety is a strength. playing against the best line in football the dline played great they only allowed 100 yards rushing. Dak looked good? how so? throwing 8 yard passes? he didnt complete one pass that went over 12-15 yards in the air. giants did poor job of allowing him to throw underneath and not blitzing early. we got no TOs can't happen with saints need at least 2 TOs, man a big game, they are 0-1 and really need a win if we can beat them i feel that would put the players confidence through the roof
I agree. Dak didn't look bad but he didn't look as good as they will say. Like 25 of his targets were Witten and Beasley check downs. Landon made some plays, the one on Dez. I feel like he's always late or too slow. It's always something with him. I want him to be great but I'm not sold on him.
Secondary played exceptionally well, and the run defense played well at forcing the run lanes to stay in the interior. Giants only had the ball for 1/4 of the time and scored 3 TD's, lot of positives to take from this game. Run game is still inconsistent to awful at times Ordered the classic jersey immediately, its beautiful Had to rep week 1 right
Repped. I wanted that jersey and the throwback but I only do authentic. Jersey looks good. One of the worst wins I've seen in a long time. Happy to get by but that's gotta be fixed. All that fumbling. O'Dell and Cruz with the drops. DISGUSTING SHOWING BY OUR OFFENSE, DISGUSTING. Defense was good for the most part. Could have been better but it was good.
Defense was fantastic, they were on the field too long and only allowed one TD to Brees. Run game was 2 YPC, the fumbles were frustrating so they need to get they cleaned up. Giants seems to be in control from start to finish Eli is just a steady rock, even with no run game and a terrible O-line the past few years he is still putting up numbers on a consistent basis.
Yeah the fumbles were frustrating as hell...defense looking good though...haven't seen them make clean tackles in a while 2-0 and skins up next week
I believe the offense will get rolling in a couple more games. Excited about this defense now. That is all.
Eli played great. They moved the ball all game. other than TOs, Only issue was running game and why run on first and 2nd down at goaline? we don't have a goaline back on this team stop the nonsense. throw the ball. Eli could have had a big game if not for fumbles and that fumble on eli is not on him at all. oline still looks weak. will beatty please...and Tye needs to be starting TE. Defense!!!! wow going into this game i hoped to hold the saints to under 30. great test and the d stepped up. still early to say this defense can be great as they are just putting film for teams to see and game plan for but we dont face many offenses at the saints level for rest of season. 2-0 skins 0-2. hope this coach hammers home that they can't be complacent. beating the skins would eliminate them from the race.
You have to run the ball there, my problem is running the ball in shotgun formation. You just need one yard
The Giants do this stupid shotgun draw play more than any team I can remember watching. It hardly works.
Eli looked very sub-par today. Secondary or the zone coverage didn't help all game. Just an overall bad loss that could've been easily winnable.
Eli wasn't at his best today, but the 100+ yards in penalties were just brutal. Negated blocked punt really changed the direction of the game
