In a fascinating turn of events, Deadline has revealed that MGM and WB. are working on a sequel to last year's reboot of the Tomb Raider movie series. Considering that the first movie grossed $274 million worldwide ($58 million in the US) on a budget of $94 million, that’s an interesting development.
According to Deadline, Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina) will reprise her role of Lara Croft, with Graham King’s GK Films (Bohemian Rhapsody) and Elizabeth Cantillon (The Girl in the Spider's Web) set to produce the upcoming picture.
