NFL Week 6 In Review...

the Chargers have looked a lot better with Woodhead in the backfield thus far

once that OL gets healthy & Gordon continues to improve his knowledge of the playbook i think he'll be fine

GUNNA sighting?
The funniest is when that other posters user name was @gunnasgunnagetit. I was

What was the story behind that?
Times were different back then.

After week 6, my only comment is that it is RIDICULOUS and UNACCEPTABLE that the NFL still can't clearly determine the definition of a catch. :smh:

So Golden Tate was a catch and touchdown because he took 2 steps according to Dean Blandino (Tate mysteriously fell to the ground after the ball came out)

The explanation for Dez Bryant was the "number of steps doesn't matter" What?

Does the number of steps matter or doesn't it.

Devonta Freeman's catch and "TD" against Washington Football was overturned when he took more than 2 steps, crossed the goal line, and lost the ball after he hit the ground.

This Giants/Eagles game... :smh: :x

This is perfect timing after the convo today too. The NFL product really is mostly trash. This is the Monday Night showcase and it's damn near unwatchable. Other than a handful of teams there's an awful lot of crappy football week to week.

There are like 3-5 elite QBs in the league right now...everyone else is either mediocre or trash. It's crazy how much bad football there is on Sundays.
It's hard to watch a lot of the time.

It's crazy when you think about it. Half of these QBs careers are still active only because of the rules to protect QBs. Imagine how bad it would be under the old rules.

^ I think its more because poor o-line play than qbs
Between the million penalties, negative runs and qbs getting hurt a lot of this falls on the o-line.

Cam mite win MVP & Panthers will win the south
Steelers - good win vs AZ & welcome back Bryant
Bengals look good but just feel they'll choke when playoffs come
Seahawks window closed & seem like they will miss playoffs
Think Giants will win but have a bad feeling Eli mite struggle.

Yes and no.

Credit is due, Panthers are tough and have my respect. Not to say beating a 2 and 4 team is a big deal, but WE couldn't do it and they did it with authority. :x Panthers are tough.

Still got my Falcons winning the division though.

Bengals are a PROBLEM.

Giants?

 he brought back the "Actually, fool."

- Was really surprised to see Hoyer look that good. Posluszny being back just makes it impossible for anyone to run on them, so kudos to him for beating them through the air.

- Falcons loss and no Jetpac  it's the same **** every year.
- Slap anyone who says Melvin Gordon is a bust.
- Cam :pimp:
- That Baltimore secondary is just ******* horrific.
- If you don't trust West yet, hand it off to Knile. Don't let Alex Smith throw 37 ******* times against an above average secondary
.

You were saying? We lost to a division rival. Records mean nothing in those games. If you told me we'd be 5-1 six games in to the season this year I woulda said you were lying. I'm still :smokin

Seattle is Seattle. They might be 2-4 but no one wants to see them on their schedule.

The last 3 seasons I agree but this years squad has really lost that fear factor imo. Don't think most teams are half as scared of playing them now as they used to.

I think people forget how many bad games there are every week on Sunday at noon when there are like 10 games, and then when one of those bad games occurs in primetime, it's 'Oh my god, the NFL product is awful right now.' 'It's been bad for years bro.'

Like ****, do you college specialists not watch college either? Terrible / pick your poison in that 'arena' as well. Jared Goff threw as many picks by himself in Cal's loss to Utah last week as Bradford and Eli combined Monday night.

I've seen some absolutely terrible college games for a number of years, so the notion that college is providing so much more that the NFL isn't is pretty laughable  those kickers missing what were routine kicks once they moved the extra point back, that's every college kicker in every game. Guys running free with coverage blown, that's routine in college and something new in the NFL. I will say that the NFL's penalties and officiating in general is muuuuch worse than in college.

Of course the NFL is higher quality. Along with every other professional sport that weeds out bums via draft so only the elite of the elite are left over.

As much as I like the Badgers there were games in 2011 when they had Wilson where they were putting up so many points I turned the game off anyway. In 2010 they dropped 83 points on Indiana and won another game 70-3. Even when its my team that **** isn't entertaining. At least they kind of fixed the part where you lose once and your season is over.

In the NFL it doesn't matter who you are or who you play, any given week it will get intense and nerve racking.

Guess we'll just act like the #1 team in the country didn't have close games against Northern Illinois and Indiana while the Patriots were putting up 51 on the Jags and the Steelers put up 48 on the Niners.

You would think the professional game would look better, I still love the NFL but its a meh watch right now. Between the penalties and what feels the like the constant timeouts it isn't fun.

Sometimes games are close... App state beats Michigan, ok sure...

I still have 1/3 of my college ATS sheet that has favorites of 20.5 points or more for this week.
