Anyway, I would have to agree that he is near the top, if not at the top. I personally would select Stephen Patrick Morrissey or Kate Bush, but I could be argued any way.

A good amount of the greatest sad songs ever.
If you are interested, get his three albums. People here want to waste their time looking for meaning in Jay-Z's lyrics, but there is so much depth and mystery in ND's songs that every listen I am still changing my mind on what they truly mean. It's really great stuff, both lyrically and musically.
