EA Sports has announced a new version of Madden NFL 22 for the holiday season that features legendary football player Bo Jackson on the cover. Jackson is now the digital cover star for Madden NFL 22, and inside the game, there will be a variety of new content themed around Jackson, who played both football and baseball. He remains the only pro athlete in history to be named to All-Star teams for both the NFL and MLB.
From November 19 through January 14, everyone who plays Madden NFL 22 will receive an 85-rated Bo Jackson in a Raiders jersey for their Ultimate Team squad. Additionally, Madden's The Yard mode will add new Nike x Bo Knows gear inspired by Nike's famous Bo Knows ad campaign, including the Nike Air Bo Turf shoes that Jackson wore in the '90s.
What's more, Jackson will show up in Superstar KO, while a new Bo Knows Superstar X-Factor ability is coming to the game to celebrate Jackson's "mythical versatility."
Jackson said in a statement, "It's great to be back in the game with Madden NFL and to appear on my first cover. The Nike Bo Knows campaign brings back a lot of nostalgia for me and many others. It's great the campaign has remained relevant for so many over the years and to see it revisited in Madden NFL 22 allows it to reach a whole new generation of fans."
