I am planning to drive up to see the campus in a month, is there anything in particular I should know? Is there a store there where I would be able to purchase discounted Nike gear?
It's about a 14 hour drive from where I live, does anyone else in the area know of things to do locally. It is just going to be me and my wife. Might be driving to Washington from there too.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Before you get in the car.. You CANNOT just walk around Campus. You will be picked out almost immediately and escorted off. Nike campus is a place of business not a tourist attraction. Also the Nike Employee Store is off campus but unless you get a Pass you can't get in there either. You can check out the Portland Factory Store along with Niketown Portland.

What's the verification process to get into the store, and where is it located exactly? I'm a new hire, and I don't have any intentions of going immediately, but it's a very cheap 1-hour flight from the Bay, so it's quite possible I might go out there, have some lunch, cop, and go back to the airport. =D

lol crazy guy; i used to work at the BES
it's like a few blocks from the campus not too far
there's a store on campus too, but for both you must have your black badge

I remember being an employee and walking on the campus crazy. I have never seen nothing like it, in my life.

go for it. if you ever meet phil knight, hes mad cool. i met him once:

me: "sup, K-money"
knight: "what up, J-Dogg"
*dap*

I do recommend visiting Campus. It really is an awesome place. There really are no rules. Just don't be a TOURIST.

walk around and enjoy the scenery. there is a small campus store you can purchase stuff from. there are two places you can eat at too. the mia hamm building has the best food.

as for stores, the ones people mentioned above. also check out woodburn outlet. they're one of the top factories and get some good product.

if you drive thru washington, stop at the nike clearance store in centralia. SOMETIMES you get some steals.

This. If you aren't there to see anyone, then you won't be going too far on campus. If you know someone and you can get in, then enjoy it. There's a LOT to see. Here's a few pics from when I went a while back (I tried to fight the tourist in me, but I had to take a few shots):

Head down here, and security will shut you down

They'll come right out from that spot in the middle and ask you what the heezy you're doing there. Happened to me when I took a wrong turn. At least I knew someone...

I can't wait to go back.

If you dress casually with NIKE footwear, you should be able to stroll around outside and the ground floor of most buildings without any trouble.  You won't be able to go to any other floors without a badge or pass.  There's also NIKETOWN Portland on 5th and Salmon and the Community Store on MLK.  The Employee Store is controlled access - if you're a visitor, you need an invite.  You should also check out Multnomah Falls and the Columbia River Gorge.

My friend is a regular Nike worker "Athlete" at a Nike store in Florida we are thinking about going to Oregon on Vacation (The Person that works at Nike, and 2 friends) what exactly can we do ? What stores can we shop in ? Can we visit where those pictures were taking ? Would it be better to go there or New Hampshire ?
