vick could of brought back cross trainers in the early 00s with his line too bad he was a dummy fighting dogs. it sucks cuz when you think about it cross trainers are the only style of shoe that has failed to see a come back....skate shoes,runners,basketball kicks even tennis shoes have come in and out of popularity thru out the years.. cross trainers have been dead since 97.
Cross trainers are going to mainly fall to the football sect. A lot of football players unless you are the qb or an over-the-top personality you aren't getting much facetime on tv. Your wearing a helmet when your on the field. Football players aren't as marketable because their faces aren't seen as often. Of all the players right now the ones with a larger appeal would be: Brady, Gronk, Cam, and maybe Winston. Cam and Brady have UA deals.

i guess thats a decent point since deion was bigger than life back in the day but how do you explain bo's success? sure he came across as a nice guy and all but wasn't exactly known for his wit or charm. what about shoes like the missions,veers and barrages which were team shoes and really had no face/personality behind them...but yet sold like crazy. i think the main reason people don't mess with cross trainers these days is the bulkiness.cross trainers are just bulky by nature and nobody is wearing baggy clothes no more. which would also explain why everyone is obsessed with runners these days its the only style of shoe that looks decent with tight fitting clothes.
Bo was the greatest athlete of the modern era, he didn't need to wit or charm which he did have plenty of. He was a true phenomenon, if you didn't live it you won't understand it.
you know what bugs me about this site?people always attack ur age as if you don't know enough or weren't around. for the record i am old enough to remember bo and deion and there was no comparison in terms of personality. nuclear90 was trying to make the point that personality sells kicks and maybe to some extent it does... but people also care about design,colorway,hype,price etc. victor cruz and darrelle revis had cross trainers a few years back and nobody cared because trends change. back in the 90s everyone had baggy jeans baggy shirts and bulky shoes everything looked uniform .nowadays cross trainers(and most shoes look like boats)being wore with tight pants. please explain to me another reason runners have seen so much love over the past 7/8 years?
Why are people complaining about the new logo...that's the same logo that was on the retros from a couple of years ago...Prime is signed to under armour right now so of course they aren't gonna use his OG logo
That logo, material and strap is all trash. I wanted those Pro Bowl joints so ****** bad as a kid. Can't believe Nike has done 100 wack colors and hasn't done the Pro Bowl joints.
true. just seen em now, they're alright. they switched da strap to leather and no Diamond turf deion logos, but still decent if u don't already have em.
some differences i have noticed,the ogs are a bit taller. all the retros have been more like mids the ogs were close to being hi tops. paint job is reversed on all the retros. the retros feature red stitching instead of gold and the og falcons cw never had a patch stitched in the pull tab(only the emerald cw did) logo is different ,the 04/05 retro had the same logo but colors were different leather mudguard stops just shy of rubber toe cap,on the retros it goes all the way to the toe cap. ogs had more of a square shaped strap,the retros are a bit wider more rectangle shaped. the leather was real i can only assume the retros are not.
OMG look at the cowhide on those beauties! The swoosh on the strap is bigger than the 04/05 retros. The differences in the color swapping is a little annoying
