Well ****, i put down my TTS on the reservation. Has anybody tried to ask for a size diffrent from what they put down? Hopefully they will let me change. Im wearing them off the island and spending the day in NY with them on.
They ask you for whatever size you want when you buy them. So you can get a size that's not even your size. My girl got a 9.5 for me, while I got a 9, so gonna see which fits better.
read the thread...it's only three pages.... but to answer your question, they run big. go half size down. ask to try on a pair before your session starts. they will not exchange. they'll tell you they run TTS and that's a lie. i grabbed an 8 bc that's the smallest they had and it's easily a thumb and a half. my AJ1 and new old shape AM1s i get in a 7.5 and OG spiridon, pegasus, SB dunk (fat tongues), AM97, Vans and vapormax in an 8.
doesn't matter like others have answered. but my guess is that they ask for your size ahead of time to get a gauge of what sizes to keep on hand to sell.
I'm sorry I disregarded your post from 7s hours ago and instead read pages one and two which contained no sizes discussion. Just seemed to be a lone post from you. But hey thanks to me supposedly not reading the thread we actually have a discussion about the sizing. Good luck with that 7.5
@suchafraud23 you know what, that's my bad. i'd been having a sizing discussion with @BigEvan23 outside the thread and thought we'd had it here. #seppuku
These shoes are only valid if worn, and worn to death by you. Resellers need not apply. Hilarious to think of the lazy resellers trying to go through an obstacle course for these. Every hyped release should be like that. Really hoping I can get a reservation for this. I wanna wear these to Kennedy Space Center
Sadly don't think many will keep em. If this thread is any indication, a good chunk will probably be resold.
For sure. I don't blame anyone. Seems like a quick 1k, but I just think if I was able to get into Space Camp (which seems so dope) I'd keep them, because in a way you kind of earn them by completing the course. Would definitely give them more personal value as opposed to a pair of shoes you win through the Foot Locker app and pick up at the mall. I like Tom Sachs and the kicks, the story and idea behind them, so all that considered, I'd just throw them on feet and enjoy them if I'm ever able to cop. Also, my dad has always wanted to go to Kennedy Space Center (which is crazy cause he lives in Florida, it's a very attainable dream, but he's never done it, whatever lol), so I'm taking him end of summer. I would 100% unDS these there. Feels right in my head haha
I plan to wear the hell out of these, if I'm able to get a pair. Normally, I'm pretty rational about sneakers and the opportunity cost of keeping valuable pairs, but I like Tom Sachs and I like the story behind these, as well. It may be marketing, but it's better than other sneaker marketing!
Nah dude for sure. The marketing and Space Camp concept is great. And the shoe market is just so saturated now- it's cool to have an experience to go with it or at the very least a creative concept behind the sneaker as opposed to "Michael Jordan drinks Gatorade, so here ya go..." haha love to MJ, but come on.
It's amazing experiential marketing. Every release I've been lucky enough to get my hands on in NYC (sneakeasy, airmax day, vlone popup/fashion week, hyperadapts, Tinker sessions, all star kith, kaws...name it) has paled in comparison to spacecamp/mars yard shoe. TS passion and vision is literally written all over it.
you went to the trouble of searching for this thread but couldn't google the price, which has been listed for weeks now, on these? http://bfy.tw/CN2L
