My local mall, which is an outlet mall, is not releasing retros anymore as of last month.

This is what the manager at FNL told me.

He said it was a decision by JB "not to have releases at outlet malls anymore".

Anyone else heard anything like this?

since they all sold out everywhere, why JB have to release those in outlet anymore? they will send more shoes to places that likely still thirsty for all J's retro

They sell out every release on the same day, so its not like their shoes just sit there.

The FNL and FTL stores are not outlet stores themselves.

Yeah. I always thought it was a mistake. A fl in our ranger outlet always got released day Jordan's. I questioned it at first because the fl was in a tanger outlet, but the manager said that they were not considered an outlet store. On Wednesday when I go in to lock down my pair of Jordan 13, the manager told me that they are not getting anymore release day jordans effective immediately because job didn't want their released day shoes associated with outlet stores

that sucks for a few ppl ... I know this is how I got a few releases last minute. thats when I was back in Orlando around '10/'11. I got BC3s, bordeaux VIIs, andblk/red/white IXs in the middle of the day cause nobody thought these stores did releases.

Yea that happened to Potomac Mills (one of the largest Outlet malls on the east coast) in Woodbridge Va.  Both Footlockers (yes two), Footaction, Champs, and Finishline had their retros end before All-star weekend.  Funny thing is, the Champs and Finishline in that mall aren't even considered "outlet" stores.  The Finishline in Potomac Mills is one of the top 10 performing finishlines on the East Coast, they used to average around 90-120 pairs for every retro release.  That mall has been selling J's since the "Nike Air" days.  However, their Foam qouta went up.  The footaction has had multiple restocks for foams (I mean 40-80 pair restocks on multiple occasions).  Still, the J's are definitely gonna be missed.  It's going to suck for the other local malls now (traffic wise).  Potomac mills served Stafford Co, Prince WIlliam Co, Fredericksburg Co, Lorton Co, and even parts of Fairfax county.

Oh well, that's business and JB's call.

I heard this to from my homie at SportsZone in Arundel Mills. Crazy that you would want your shoes in less stores to be bought...but personally, with the inferior quality of alot of what JB has been putting out, I don't give a damn.

The manager at fnl in katy Mills (houston) told me they weren't getting anymore retros. I'm not sure about the footlocker in there though. Smh. Guess I will just go back to first colony again and deal with the madness

Yup I was at Ontario Mills a few weeks ago and found this out. They said it happened at the end of January, but the guy at Foot Locker said that corporate was trying to come to an agreement to get them back in these stores because their not really outlets.

It seems all the malls that are owned by the Simon "Mills" group were affected.

6 months ago I was surprised to find AJ yotd and AJ 2012 deluxe at Nordstrom rack (outlet) for $79 each. I've been checking there ever since. I guess it won't be there.

I think it only affects the models that fall between 1'-13' (and higher if Jb brings them back).  At least that's what FL, Champs, and Finishline @ Potomac Mills said.  All the other JB jordans will continue to hit those spots and sit.

Screw that.... this will only lead to more chaos on release day because youre going to have EVERYONE showing up to the same spot instead of spreading people out across different stores your area.

squadron blue 13s and crimson 3s coming your way.

Just got back from Arundel Mills and the footlocker store manager told me the same thing.

I can vouch for the info. for the royals release i called every major outlet around me including malls. one mall is called pittsburgh mills mall. allthe stores told me the same story of no retros anymore. finishline kid expanded by saying something about jb not shipping there anymore because its a "mills" store. wth is that supposed to mean. so my other mall is simon? Is that ok? How stupid.

As mentioned earlier. The manager who normally hooks me up showed me the actual corporate statement. No outlet malls, tanger, mills, etc. Will receive release day Jordan's. Honestly, the statement was not very descriptive, but it just appears it is just retros and other numbered Jordan's because they still had the new whack spizikes up. Don't be surprised if lebrons, loves and durants will be on the list soon. They don't want their release day products associated with "outlets."

I swear it seems like everything in the world has gone to ****.... hip hop, jordans, television, lol smh

Heard from a person whos work at NTSF that when they re-opens(they are closing to remodel) they might not carry retros anymore. Crazy if this happens. :{

My bro works in that Finishline. When he broke the news to me I was :{ :{ :{

This is such a stupid idea. ANother reason why I think Nike and JB don't care about stopping the madness that comes along with releases.

If you want to stop the madness, spread the pairs around.
