A couple of weeks ago, a professor was beheaded for showing the Charlie Hebdo mohammed cartoon in a class about freedom of expression.

As a Muslim myself, it's a weird thing to think about. You make a drawing knowing it's going to offend a lot of people, there are going to be reprecussions. Now should those reprecussions be beheading people? Of course not

Poke and prod at folks long enough and this might happen. Can’t say I condone it, but continually and openly making a mockery of someone’s belief system generally doesn’t end well.

Let us also not forget the gazillion other Muslim brothers and sisters who don’t react this way, lest we try to paint everyone with the same brush.

Western society seems to be ok with an "anything goes" mentality as long as you do not impact others in a physical / tangible way.

It's like putting a lot of mischief, lies, politics etc. under the umbrella of "it's only business".

If you want to poke a bear, don't complain about getting mauled.

Religion shouldn’t so serious that you kill people over it. Stomping them out or hitting them with a baton could suffice. humans gonna act like humans tough.

If westerns hadn't been raping, robbing, pillaging and murdering innocent men, women and children in the muslim world decade after decade I feel like they wouldn't be beheaded over a cartoon. If there was a modicum of respect for muslim culture, or a sense that folks were trying to learn or understand them instead of trying to be purposely controversial and disrespectful I dont think it plays out that way. JMO tho.
