No lies.....told

This dude really said bum *** Britt Baker, who has been wrestling for like two years and has zero personality or presence, should be pushed ahead of Riho, who has been wrestling for a decade + and is undeniably over with the AEW audience

I am not a huge Riho fan personally, but what does it say about Britt when she can't connect with a crowd that is excited and willing to like EVERYTHING?

But she is "a marketable American girl" so she automatically deserves to be at the front of the line :rolleyes

Cornette sounds real "old school" there if you know what I mean

Kota Ibushi is Bruce Lee incarnate.

I am finishing up Bruce Lee: A Life Hardcover – June 5, 2018: Amazon product ASIN 1501187627 , and I am seeing a lot of similarities between the two.

Both shunned "traditional" forms of wrestling in favor of style-free combat. Both Bruce/Kota felt that fighters put themselves into boxes when they label themselves as a certain STYLE of fighter. They both believed the best style of combat was to be adaptable to what the situation/your opponent calls for you to be.

They both searched for influences outside of their traditional upbringing. Bruce studied Fencing (Distance) and Western Boxing (Footwork) and Kota Ibushi wrestled all over the world while creating the "Kota Ibushi research institute." Again, both felt like their bases presented limitations and it would be foolish not to add elements of other disciplines.

Both were bashed by the Elders of their respective communities. We know that many people didn't consider DDT to be "real wrestling" (and still don't), and Ibushi got lots of backlash for some of his antics when he was younger. Bruce faced a lot of backlash from the community whenever he spoke on the limitations of certain systems. (Karate, Kung-Fu, Jiu jitsu) Both felt things being traditional didn't necessarily make it "right" and that upset many people.

While I was reading this book, I kept saying to myself, "Damn this is the Kota Ibushi story."

Just wanted to get this down on paper because it has been on my mind.

The Cornette comments on Marko Stunt were classic Cornette man. Again, no lies were told there. But we can just chalk it up as him being out of touch and senile. ( :smh: )

Common sense booking.
