If you looked in the scam thread, this dude has been on a tear. Wish I had seen the thread prior to doing business w/ him. Dude took me for $185 for a pair of Playoff XIIs and a handful of other people have been victims.

He invoiced me but now when I try to file a claim it says

We're sorry, but this transaction cannot be disputed because it is not a purchase of goods or services. Please contact the recipient directly.

Is it possible to request money for a gift? I should have looked closer because I thought all invoices were always for goods.

Dude told me he's from Philly area. Gonna be in Philly this weekend anyways (I'm from Boston). Hoping NTers could get their

No. He sent a payment request via invoice for the sneakers and I paid. Maybe unbeknownst to me, there's some loophole that allows one to request $ for something other than goods/services and leaving the buyer unprotected. Might be negligence on my part, but my jimmies are now rustled.

call ur bank to cancel payment. file a charge back if you created an invoice. but if it was a gift, you might be sol. but i would call ur bank.

Almost the entire payment came from Paypal funds. Would that mean the bank could only cancel the remainder of the balance? Is it possible to invoice for a gift? If not, I def. didn't pay via gift.

the longer u wait to contacnt the bank the more suspicious they will become. call them up telll them ur issue and they will give u some forms to fill out. prime ex: i order snekaers from natter jacks and i waited almost four months for the shoe.i never recieved the shoe called my bank and they refunded me my money.

I get that. Problem is, most of the payment came from Paypal funds. (i.e I sold something. Got paid. Used those funds to pay this scumbag). The only funds that came from my bank was like $12.

Agreed. If the conventional way doesn't work, I'm taking a road trip to Philly or NJ. Pretty sure he's from there. Looking to find out his personal info and do things the grimey way if Paypal or Banks can't make it right.

Actually gonna be in Philly this weekend anyways. Would be perfect to get some sort of lead if he's from there. :smokin

Will be checking back on here throughout the weekend. Any help at all is appreciated.

From the scammer thread:

Put this scammer on the the list...

Isaiah Williams

I had placed a wanted post for some Lebron 8 Yankees and he sent me a PM stating he has a worn pair for $90...Had him send me some pics and it contained a ebay username in the pic to which he said was him...

After a several emails and his prompt replies, I decided to send him the payment via paypal, even after knowingly I should've asked for pics with his NT username...Guess I have too much faith in people...

I sent him several emails in the following days when the payment was sent, to which I got no reply to....So of course I open a claim with paypal and state my reasons...He replies back stating that he had indeed replied to my emails but that I hadn't replied to his and that the shoes were sent out and I had replied to him stating that I had received them...Total BS of course...

Waited patiently for the claim process to complete, which was today, and got my refund...

Been in it for years and still believe in people in this industry, sucks but the few screw it for the rest of us...

Just like the rules here on NT when selling an item, follow them no matter where it is...

I have paypal claim open with this clown right now. Placed a wanted ad for some penny 2 blackouts. He emails me saying that he has a ds pair for $120 shipped. Dude was blowing me up for the payment as soon as I pay he stops emailing me back. Now I have to wait to get my money back.

yea but the amount of money and time u invest finding this scammer would either equal the amount of money he took from you or more. i would just speak to paypal and tell them that its there fault for not making that entry where u couldnt determing if the shoes were goods or for family. tell them paypal its ur fault.

Same guy scammed me, I'm pretty sure. Did not get my money back. This is his phone number: have fun lol 609-284-1769

UPDATE: Seller has refunded my payment in full. Props to him for accepting he was wrong so s*** didn't have to get ugly (although I think my text messages had something to do with it). For everyone else that was scammed by this kid, I'd like to hear your stories so maybe we can do something to help you if you lost $ or goods.

Back on the hunt for a pair of Playoffs for me. SMH.
