First time headed down there, Punta Cana to be exact. I'm going with my girl (vol. no plans to pay for it) - any tips/suggestions?

All of your input is appreciated...

I assume you're staying at a resort? Dont stray away from it, especially since you have p on lock. If you burn trees bring them with you or cop at the smoke shops on the beach. Be prepared for rain, but in quick spurts. So leave the heat at home.

Cool!I'm in Bavaro currently which is about 15 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport. I'm not at a resort though. Staying with some family. They always say stay on the resort but this is one of the safer areas that you can encounter in DR. Everyone is friendly so far.

If you aren't dark skin or brown skin you probably should stay on the resort though. They always try to offer you services you don't need especially if they think you have money.

Also bring some medicine that helps with stomach illnesses. Last year when we cam we stayed on a resort and a lot of people got sick from the buffets.

DONT DRINK TAP WATER!

Ditch girl, go out alone, act like you got lost, and have the time of your life for a few hours.

not much to do in Punta Cana other than enjoy the resort since thats all there is out in that part of DR, enjoy the activities/excursions the resort has to offer.....if you wanted to do something besides the resort you should have gone to boca chica since its within minutes from the capital where everything happens, then again...if youve never been there or dont have family that are familiar with the country i wouldnt recommend you venture out, SPECIALLY since is only you and your girl....i have family out there and i remember hitting up a local club on la venezuela, buying about 4 bottles and 30+ beers and the bill amounted to 150$ us dollars, i felt like a baller...lol

That's basically my plan - we're staying at an all inclusive joint so I just want to hang out there and indulge...

From what I've heard heading out into the 'hood isn't the best look unless your familiar or on a quest for yambs that are worth putting your life at risk.

I just wanted to know if anyone knew of anything in the immediate area besides the hotels....if not, I'm still good. Food, drink and beach - I'll be fine.

like people have said there isn't much to do outside of the resort, so just chill on the beach with drinks and enjoy. there's a hard rock club/casino nearby, you could check that out. if you were alone or with your boys i'd say go out and get wild, but thats probably not a viable option in your case.

oh, and be careful with people pretending to be nice/hospitable.. people will offer to carry your bags, take you around, etc but as soon as they do it they're gonna stare at you looking for a $10 tip. i literally did not meet a single, honest worker on the resort i was at. and cab drivers will try to screw you over too. i don't know if you're spanish but if not people will def try to take advantage of you so don't get got.

OP Santo Domingo is where is at.

Ksteezy knows what's up. La Venezuela, and the ladies are

Just read ninjahood's words of wisdom from the other thread. Next time boys......next time.

Definitely appreciate all of the info, though - if there's more, please, keep it coming.

there is this club down there that has bats in it. can't remember the name to save my life but it is pretty dope and some of the resorts provide bus trips there

Can't stress that enough brah... everyone of them dudes out there is looking for something.

The cabs are the worst though... for like a 10-15 ride the want to charge you close $100 US dollars

Oh yeah I've heard about this club out there called El Passion or something like that...

Girls are supposed to be out of this world, but I didn't make it there.

The main clubs like Mangu and Imagine (club inside a cave) where alot of locals tjat work at the resorts and other tourists go are not that cheap with alcohol....pretty much the same as clubs in the US. A bottle of goose was mangu $300 at mangu and about $200-$250the at imagine. If these clubs are not in the resort you're staying at (cant remember whichit resorts) then just take a cab there

thats so dumb. Why not just squeeze an extra $5-10 out of everyone, because even that is a lot over there.
