Im on a search for a used 99-04 Ford Mustang yes i know typical guy just lookin for a sports car. btw im 20 years old.
but yeah im supposed to meet up with the seller tommorow it a 2000 ford mustang gt convertible 85,000 miles automatic transmission
shes asking for $6000 which i think is a reasonable price for this car. beleive me i been doing alot of research.

but my question is what should i ask when i see the car and test drive it?
what should i look for?
 
take a flash light with you. ck the transmission fluid, make sure it doesn't smell burnt/have metal shavings, make sure it shifts good withoutbucking/jerking/slipping. make sure engine runs well, tune up is recent. road test car, make sure car feels solid, no clunks while going over bumps, make suresteering wheel doesn't wanna shimmy od while going over bumps or while driving straight. look under front of vehicle, make sure no fluids leaking frompowersteering, transmission, etc. if you see it looks wet underneath, if its just moist, should be ok. if its od wet/moist from multiple locations, as owner ifthey know where its leaking from. ck belts to see if cracked/dry. ck the brake pads as good as you can, also make sure rotors not overheated. if overheated,surface of rotor will be dark, may have grooves on surface. while test driving car make sure brakes not squeaking/wheel shimmy while braking. make sure alllights+electrical functions ie door locks, windows, convertible top all working properly.
