Both my parents are being denied as cosigners because of their credit.... There is nobody in my family willing to cosign.

I tried SallieMae and WellsFargo..both for private loans..denied.

What are my options? I need $7308.50 by September 1st.

If I don't get this, I don't end up going to school...

No. I was planning on giving them a call tomorrow. But I mean, what can they do?

They can work out a payment plan for you. Have you applied for work study?

Chase may allow your parents as co-signers.

Yeah,My school sent me a plan about a month ago..They can work out a payment plan by making us pay $1,100 a month. We can't afford that.

Have you been looking for jobs in and around campus? I know times are tough, but you really have to take the initiative.

I don't think they'll kick you out if you haven't made full payment, just assess a late fee.

But you really need to see if you can get a job, work study, whatever will bring in some monthly income to pay off your tuition.

Also, are you living on campus? Can you make do without certain things?

I can't make $7,000 off of work study...are there ANY places that give loans without cosigners?

Try NellieMae. I heard that they usually accept people for loans that have been denied by SallieMae. I'll hit you with a PM when I get home later tonightwith some other options that may help.

NellieMae gives only Stafford Loans. I already have two of them from my FAFSA.. is it possible to apply for more federal/stafford loans?

Im going to need all the help i can get. My family is in a crisis right now. All by the end of this month, this is happening: My parents are divorcing ,w eneed to move but we don't have money for a downpayment/insurance for another apartment, and I need those7 stacks...

What happens If I don't end up going to college? I'm really scared

C'mon dude...You can't go to college without applying for FAFSA . Im WAY past that stage...and no we're not poor(hence why i didntget a lot of aid...but we have tens of thousand of credit card debt..thats why we keep on gettin denied)

Financial aid(grants, federal loans, scholarships) only covered a couple thousand of my $18,000 fee for my first year. Now I need 7,000 more in private loans..

It doesn't have to be work study. A minimum wage job should get your started.

Have you tried applying for a credit card at your bank? They may give you a student cc with a $1000 limit.

That card + work may help you out.
