NT Riders: School me on motorcycles

In the market of getting a bike. Been looking at this used 05 R6 Raven for 3800 and 06 Yamaha R1 Raven for 2700. Also was peepin this 07 Ducati Monster 695 with a 900 motor. 
Thoughts? Ideas? Advice for a rookie rider?
