In this thread, I will post one trade I make in securities markets per week. This will be where you can find some of my biggest trades, especially when bigmoves are coming, and I fully expect them to be profitable, as I personally am making them in my accounts. People may think this is a classic pump-and-dumpscenario, but clearly I do not have control over enough market liquidity through this to make a difference and the securities I will be trading arewell-renowned and big moving mid- to high-cap companies, not illiquid pennystocks. Some people may think this is a way for me to make extra money as I havepeople piggybacking off of my own trades. Though this could sometimes be the case, usually the securities I trade are far too liquid for me to be making anyreal impact. This is here for NTers to see my thoughts real-time and see actual trades I make. This should not be construed as financial advice and I am not(yet) a registered investment adviser, so do your own due diligence and consult your investment adviser before making any trades.

Btw, what are your thoughts on SRS movement this week.

Do you think it will continue to go up this week or will we see a pullback before going up...

I ask because I just bought in at 100 on friday right before close...the urge was to great after waiting so long for a good entering point--finallysuccumbed...[IMG]

pullback to 88-90ish would be great. i think SRS sees 140+ by the end of the week/beginning of next week.

How much money do you think I should have before I start investing? I've heard anything from 1000 to 10,000 dollars.

On another note, I def. need to start trading options. Well I have to learn first because it seems like that's where all the big moves are in terms ofmaking money. I seriously just want enough to pay back my student loans and pay for grad school...

Thanks for the info though Yayo...

check the sig for the blog.

8-10 g's is ideal imo for starting. 2-5 is the minimum range i usually suggest.

market kid is a daytrader/very short term swing trader focusing on technical analysis of illiquid small-cap and penny stocks. not really my style, but he makesa lot of money. the problem with his strategy is, it only works for accounts under around $100k. after that, liquidity becomes an issue.

i like focusing on highly liquid stocks that determine overall market movement because no matter how much money you have (unless you get to the hundreds ofmillions to billions), the trading style will remain relevant and will also be very relevant to current economic times.

Thanks. Why do you believe SRS will reach $140+? I could see $100 being reasonable, but how would it get so high?

I think the market is going to move much lower starting mid to end of this week. REITs got downgraded by S&P on Friday and I expect huge selling in stockslike SPG, VNO, and BXP, down to well below November lows (where many of them are precariously perched right now), shooting SRS up. I also expect SKF to hit 300again after a pullback to the 220 area.

    March 55 puts down .26?

They at what about a dollar? Not bad.

GS trades on so much volume typically and they've had a lot of support (when I followed them late last year, early this year) which always had meskeptical.

DKY, I'm all ears. You've consistently proven to be one of the better economic minds on this board.

The effects of commercial real-estate loan defaults have yet to be felt. The november highs of SRS was primarily driven by news from theresidential real-estate sector. News of problems within the commercial sector is only now beginning to trickle down through the cracked foundations ofwall-street.

I've always saw this coming--it's only been a matter of when. With that said, I think this summer is going to be crazy for SRS...[IMG]

    Nice.
Buying on the break of the channel around $69?
Buying a bit before in anticipation of the move would preserve more profit (but entails some more risk)?

btw, blog is nice. Good info.
