At what abv are your beers? High abv beers will give you a decent buzz.

If I'm home chillin, one or two 12 ouncers or a bomber. Don't want to get fat, gotta preserve my sexy. ABV doesn't change the amount I drink.

Let's just say most places around my way have a three beer limit. Go to 2-3 of these places, and you'll feel alright. I have seen drunks at these "high class craft" places too. 3 is even highly suspect considering ABV/oz comparisons could easily qual 8-10 budlight/light beers.

My favorite is a 7.2% IPA that comes in 16oz cans. I think if you drink a 4 pack, its equivalent to 9 bud lights. A higher concentrated craft beer buzz does feel different though. I'm set with 1 :D

I can drink a 8.3% FBS on a Sunday brunch and be set for most of the day. It seems like I would need a half 12 pack of bud light easily.

So pretty much, a 7.2% ipa and a 8% FBS sets me straight. Compare the abv etc (i did a google spreadsheet awhile back to compare prices and abvs) and craft easily wins out. That should be the drink of choice for drunks *unless you like everclear.

In the scheme of things, light beer is light because it lacks in ABV. Unless you are looking at hard liqours, any high ABV beer will have sugars and carbs. 1 solid craft offering is likely equal to 3 light macro beers. So matter what what you drink, there is no escaping carbs=ABV. MGD64 is basically water for a reason. I don't think many get those comparisons.

I really enjoyed the Old Tom Gin
    Barrel Aged IPA (tulip)

The other was Left Coast Del Mar. Like a blonde.

Good brews after DeadPool with the Mrs.

    2 typical amber/brown ale or 1 stout and 1 amber/brown. I'm generalizing.

Really enjoyed this clown shoes undead imperial stout. Feels like I've been drinking my beers too cold, definitely tasted and enjoyed the flavors more as it sat out at room temp.

I drank just about every beer I could/can as cold as I can get it and for years I did it with beers that had no business being that cold. I've learned a lot and try to let beers like that warm up a bit. Totally different experience.

Small but productive trip. Never had Striaght Jacket and just Got it in while grabbing some more FBS.

Same here. Went to Ballast Point on VDay with the lady and had a sample of Black Marlin Porter Chocolate Cherry Cask and it had warmed up a bit and you could really taste the chocolate and cherry compared to the pint I had which was pretty cold.

Not as bad as a bartender who is trying to educate you on a beer when they're not knowledgeable but I just ordered a couple of happy hour drafts down the street from work, an IPA and a Russian imperial stout, and she told me which was which when she put them on the bar

^ That Maple Bourbon Barrel looks super 🔥

Excited to try the Prairie Bomb! this weekend, a homie hooked it up and I've heard nothing but good things. Been on a Xoco kick so hoping it's similar but with a better/thicker mouthfeel

Just picked up a 4 pack of lambo and a bottle of the maple. A lot of people saying the cans don't taste as good as last time and some are saying they're getting better after sitting a few days. What's your opinion?

Sipping on some 2013 BCBBW tonight. So damn smooth! The age really mellowed this one out.

Dang. NYC is taking over. I have a early august trip to ny/VT coming up this year. Two wks of bliss. Not sure how to plan this one. May need some help from locals. I'm okay with a semi hunt but my family isn't into ipas. So it may be a whole brewery experience. I don't know of the NE to be known for its German styling. That may be it's one fault.

    I'm sorta beyond the chase.

Just finished up my 4th 12 pack of new Belgium citradelic. Drinkability Is crazy. Sam Adams rebel gf ipa is grounding Me a bit.

Local places opening up everywhere. Maybe it's just that frugal consumer side of me popping in. But I have no true desires to try new places who haven't proven themselves. Just finished my 2nd or 3rd 6 pack of rebel gf ipa [I haven't bought multiple SA sixers since I turned 21). I guess I'm caught in a price rut. But at the same time, I don't feel I'm missing out.

I'm okay on an income front. But it's starting to feel less worth it. I guess we all work in waves. Well see how I work this 1 out

Okemo, south Rutland area, Manchester area. I guess it's Mt holly area to be specific. I'm used to driving 4 hours and 320 miles in my state. So I consider for the most part all of that general area, New England. I'm not against traveling. But it's been a good 8 years since I've been in the area. I hear of truck chasing and waiting in lines. I've traded and such. I know what's 'good' out there. That area has exploded so I need to play my cards right. If you're in the area, I will probably check in a case of local ipa.

My area has some amazing iPas that others want to try. I do generally love ipas. But I'm okay trying other beers for family sake

Had Wit Fit, this is good! A little more hop kick than two hearted. It's strange.. from the taste you'd probably call it an ipa.

Had summer shandy, it was meh.

    Funky Buddha Floridian right now.

I don't think hefes are for me.

There's something about citradelic I can't pin point and i don't enjoy. It's almost too syrupy on the mouth feel and sweet.

I like you're progression through all the beer styles through this past year. Have you had Weihenstephaner hefe? It's probably a top 3 graded hefe in the world. Sometimes you just don't like a style. Nothing wrong with that. 3 flavors come out that you must like if you want to enjoy hefes. Banana, bubble gum, and clove.

Intestine salazaro44. Half the time I don't trust myself after purchases. I really like Sam Adams rebel grapefruit ipa. Even though it's badly received. Citradelic is 89-91 range on BA. I guess sometimes my appeal is cheap okay tasting stuff. I've been burned on local craft crap at $5/pint. Ie, my opinions are all over the place. It's almost like the drunk in me talking. If I can catch an okay buzz with some okay flavor, I am all set. I guess I work in waves. One can catch a buzz with everclear, so it's not about that for me. Good even balance is needed

Had Citradelic the other day. Thought it was decent for what it was. Kinda light on the palate. Tastes more like a PA than an IPA to me.
