dude. i have a 3.85 unweighted, 4.51 weighted. i'm 15th in my class (of ~430), and i'm not going anywhere special.
this girl who's 3rd in my class was rejected by stanford (her unweighted GPA is 4.00). her other choices are yale and harvard - if she doesn't get into either, (not to mention being able to pay for it), she won't even have a college to go to.

final statement = you better aim low.

Well basically, you're not getting into any of the major top schools, probably not even level 2. What I would advise is you just got to a regularuniversity (Which I would compare to St. John's out here in NY) or Comm. and get your grades up then transfer out.

Hell, even the PUBLIC schools around my area in Massachusetts don't have kids getting 3.8s. Kids with 3.6-3.7 all go Ivy League.
