i dont understand the appeal of a really expensive wallet

its not like a pair of shoes or watch that people can see

and its not like a $200 wallet will give me better "performance" over a $15 one

it sits in your pocket all day and the only person who really sees it is a cashier

but to each his own i guess

I'll be sticking to my six year old wallet.

I think it's a horrible point.

Why not have a $400 wallet with $2,000 in it instead?

I just use a regular old leather wallet.

For a short while, I actually used a wallet made out of paper.. well.. heavy duty paper I guess you could say..

..and it was pretty damn durable for what it was.

Here's a pic:

Makr Carry Goods > Any designer brand wallet.

My card-holder's been good to me for the last year and the leather gets better every day.

at the thought of cramming 2 G's into a wallet
most high end wallets won't even let you carry more than a grand...

and its about $150 retail, so it's half as much as the others you posted and with better leather
I have a Coach wallet also, same retail price but I paid about $60 at the outlets after 2 discounts. I had a Timberland but it ripped.
