Verzion, Sprint, ATT, etc. all charge $60/per month. Is there a cheaper alternative out there?? Thanks

Correct me if im wrong but you can get internet service for a laptop/netbook without having an actual connection in a house? Is there some piece that goes inthe laptop/netbook that allows you use the internet without WIFI?

Yeah-- that's what the OP is talking about (mobile broadband). Check out Clear (WiMax) and Cricket. I don't know how much they run-- but you mightfind them slightly cheaper. I stay away from mobile broadband because of the surfing cap-- I can go through 5gb in no time.

OP, there's a great chance that wherever you take your netbook, there will be wireless access.
