NYC Car Insurance Question

I've been looking into getting my first car, possibly leasing. I got my Drivers License when I was 19/20, I'm 29 now. I did a quick quote online with the typical big companies like Geico, Allstate, Statefarm etc. and the quote I got was $500+...

Im sure that me living in Brooklyn and not having any driving history/insurance prior affects it... Is it possible to be put under a relatives car insurance policy? he has history and is located in Queens. Will the car have to be under his info or can it be under mine?

Ny car insurance period is highway robbery dont matter the borough overall ya best bet if u wanna go the slick route is try to get it insured outta state using somebody else address to save u a couple dollas

Yeah I pay 330 on my mdx... I been wanting to change my license back to Massachusetts. I was saving all kinds of bread but I was always getting pulled over... Smh

And I thought me paying $275 was high... $500 insurance I would just ride dirty and hope to never get pulled over..
