I'm always going to ride with Skywalker but this movie looks good.

I seen most of the original series and those were classics. IMO the older Star Trek movies sucked and this preview alone is better than all of them combined.

is this the original story from the beginning?

is this movie the first installment of many movies?

Not sure what to think of the movie. I been a fan of TNG, DS9, and sometimes VOY. I think this will suffer from the same issues the star wars prequels wentthrough. They don't work for some reason. That's why I never watched Enterprise.

The franchise died because producers ran out of ideas to progress it further. I think prequels are what you do once you reach that point.

Definitely going to see it but I don't have any expectations for this movie.

It's more like a reboot - they didn't want to make another Next Generation movie (or Voyager or DS9 for that matter) so they'restarting again. I would imagine they want to make a series of them - that's where the money is.

I haven't been this hype about a movie in a WHILE man. I never got into Trek like that, but this movie looks amazing across the board. The cast, the story,and it's JJ FREAKING ABRAMS!
