Well, seeing as this is an English set movie of a very English book and I'm English....here's my opinion.

Imagine a visually impressive American director with a decent resume taking an English story, santizing it of most of the wit, charm, and quintessential Englishness, changing the story, ruining some of the characters (the Mad Hatter - Johnny Depps character is rubbish compared to the book) and completely changing the ending and you get an idea of how much I dislike this movie. Its my favourite book but I'm so disappointed as it could of been great.

Visually stunning, superb artistic direction & 3D, but souless, tactless and kind of a disgrace to the book.

This movie never stood a chance with a foreign director being backed by Disney.

Gonna have to agree with this.  The movie was definitely "soul-less to say the least.  It was extremely linear like said before which made it boring.  I was hoping for a more creative storyline or plot something to make you think.  The movie was geared toward children and that was sooo obvious.  It was basically alice falls into wonderland and is opposed by the queen she then defeats the queen and comes out of wonderland.  That is the whole movie not much takes place other then that.

MAD trippy.
I went to the midnight showing in 3-D on Thursday but burned a blunt of some purple kush beforehand. Of which I almost  smoked the whole thing myself

.  Needless to say, I passed out 20 mins into the movie, if even that

. Don't think I missed much tho

Was not too trippy at all and I was definitely baked. Movie was extremely disappointing!

What the hell movie were you watching?
There was not one "trippy" moment in this movie...
and I was stoned..

Tron Legacy looks like its about to change the game though. I can't wait until that.

This man speaks the truth.  looks absolutely insane...

I'm English and enjoyed it, guess I just went in to the cinema expecting very little and was pleasantly surprised.

It's better than a lot of the rubbish that has been out so far this year.

I liked it, but I guess I was expecting it to be more trippy like the original cartoon...If you do see it, you gotta see it in 3D...

Honestly Burton SHOULD not be remaking children's books. Can't stand him as a director. Johnny D. is getting played out.

it was ok but confused the original book "The adventures of Alice in wonderland" and the sequel"Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There" The jabberwocky and the red queen,Tweedledum and Tweedledee and the white king are all from the sequel and in this movie he melded the two together which is confusing.
