Canelo vs. JCC Jr. would've been a much bigger deal five years ago.

 

I'm probably one of the very few but I'm pumped for Canelo vs Chavez. If, and it's a big if, Junior comes in refocused on his career it will make for a heck of a fight. I'm hoping for the best.

I thought this was a fight that was gonna take time to manifest BC they came in At the same Time but ibdidnt think canelo would be a mW already I thought it was gonna be a gr8 cinco de mayo fight eventually but then

JCC got exposed lacked heart and commitment to the sport. Honestly as much as a I knock canelo JCC is and always has been the lesser fight. Will be fun to watch canelo pummel him. This fight gon do huge numbers ppv wise. When is the last time u had 2 Mexican fighters headline a fight on that weekend

 

Chavez Jr. Can take a punch! On top of that, you know he's coming in at 180-190 lbs. This will be the first time Canelo is the smaller dude. Should be very interesting!

 

Going 12 rounds with Chavez Jr will take a toll on anyone. Canelo isn't knocking him out.

 

Never said knock out. But it will be a boxing lesson and one sided. Chavez can take a punch but has a history of quitting both in the ring and during preparation. This fight is really only interesting BC JCC gon come in overweight and try. But honestly he has done nothing to warrant a fight with canelo

 

My comment wasn't directed to you. I was following up on why I don't think it's a good idea for Canelo to take this fight. Mainly 1. It makes him look more like a chicken**** for ducking GGG 2. He's going to take more damage in this fight than any fight before.

 

Hopefully Chavez is focused but that might be asking for too much at this point

Anyway I was on the fence earlier. Official prediction tonight: Degale by 5th round TKO

 

Yeah khytrov was a solid favorite, hell of a fight. As far as the main card, I think it's gonna be a rough night for TMT. Pedraza by decision and Degale winning a close split decision

 

I had a sudden change of heart because Degale probably knows he's not getting any favors if a round is remotely close. Degale is going to have to capitalize using his awkwardness more than his skill. If he can alternate the tempo from his slapping and sitting on his punches he will really confuse Jack and stop him. The more conventional he fights the more he plays into Jack's hand and he should avoid doing so as he can let the rounds slip by easily.

 

ok i literally just spent the last hour watching old clips of Davis and Pedraza for the first time. I'm going with Davis by gift decision.
