I don't think they ever had issues but I think Steph cut alot of the people off after he made the league. I feel like him or someone close to him spoke about that years back.



Continuing the conversation earlier, the whole "LA" thing is somewhat akin to the "DMV" thing but on a slightly smaller scale.

DC, Maryland, Virginia. But's it's really supposed to be DC, PG county, and parts of NoVa at least in my upbringing, as it centers around DC and the unique culture of the area. Montgomery county has always been a point of contention but southern Montgomery works. But people will claim and annex territory if it serves their purpose. Anne Arundel, Southern Maryland like Waldorf, northern MD like Frederick, and all the way down to Fredricksburg talk about DMV.

If you going by LA/SoCal rules DMV would have a claim to the "mecca" as well.
