    I think he's at 1.46 ain't he?

Still, good enough to get his trade value thru the roof. Come July, there will be buyers.

Baez hit another homer tonight, might finally be comin around.

"Shark" hasn't allowed over 3 ER in 10 starts this season. 2 ER or less in 9 starts, impressive. No better time to trade him for a huge prospect haul.

Some of the changes that will be happening at Wrigley over the next couple years.

Modernized, but still with the classic look and feel. Sucks for the rooftops, and won't be the same without the bullpens down the side, but hopefully will start to help the team and invite players to want to be there as they start turning the corner in the next year or two. :pimp:

I'd trade everything except Lindor for the Indians to get Kris Bryant. 35-40 HR guy, no exaggeration.

No thank you. Bryant is going to be a cornerstone next to Baez, Starlin, Rizzo and Soler. :pimp:

Lesser pieces. Nice, but chips worth moving if needed. If they stay and help, great, if we flip them for something else, wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

as of right now. I kinda worried about Soler. injuries. I wouldnt trade Bryant for nothing. He will retire a Cub. Jake Arrieta is starting to look good also.

Kris Bryant with his 18th homerun, and leading his league in all 3 triple crown categories. :pimp:

Get this kid in Triple A and see what else he can do.

No need to rush him. Let him continue to dominate Double A. I am looking to see him in the big leagues July 2015 after the all star break.

I don't want to rush him either, but we need him to get some at bats vs better pitching to get a true measure on him.

Updated the thread title with the current record. 20-34, worst record in baseball but only a run differential of -18, meaning we fight every game (cept yesterday  )

Not only do we have Samardzija to flip for more pieces, we may also be able to trade Hammel and/or Travis Wood.

Hammel for sure would be a good sell, because he's only here on a 1 year deal anyways. Def want to flip him if someone comes sniffing around.

Wood is a bit harder, we might want to hold him for another year, and maybe flip him and Edwin Jackson next season.

Still, if we stay on this pace, and land yet another top 3 pick....... :pimp:

I obviously know about Bryant, Soler, and Baez but CP, how much can you tell me about C.J. Edwards?

I don't know much about him other than everyone raves about him. He's small, and from what I read, he needs to work on his off speed stuff, but he's pitched well everywhere he's been, so he must have something to him. I know they have absolutely zero rush to him, he may not be up til next year, if that. No way they want to mess with a young arm, so he'll be even slower/safer than our bats.

    I don't think he's a 1-2, maybe a 3 is all I can hope for. Some list him as a potential 2.

He had a minor injury a few weeks back, so he's been slowed by that, may be a while before we hear anything else.

Kris Bryant: And another one... :pimp:

CJ's MRI came back fine, they'll ease him back out there.

There's a chance, if pitchers go 1-2-3 on Thursday, the Cubs could take yet another bat at #4 (the top available hitter in the draft basically) and take pitching the next 7-8 rounds. Same approach as last year with Bryant and the year before with Almora.

If one of the pitchers drop to 4, then that's our guy obviously.

With the #4 pick in the Draft, the Chicago Cubs select:

Kyle Schwarber, C, Indiana 6-0, 230. Bats Left, Throws Right.

Funny, of all the positions we have filled in our Minors, Catcher was the one we did not have a blue chip prospect. Guess we've addressed that now. But they are saying he's going to move to LF. (also plays some 1B)

Apparently, one of the top bats in college.

Schwarber rated as the best college bat in the Draft by MLB.com. They had him at 16, with only 2-3 High School kids rated ahead of him. My guess is they want this kid up within 2 years with the rest of the players they've assembled, so they went best college hitter, rather than best high school hitter.

And he's a lefty, meaning Rizzo won't be the only lefty bat in the lineup someday with Bryant, Baez and Soler all righties.

(not sure what Almora is, but he is struggling right now big time)
