I wonder if the Cubs try to sign Bryant before he makes his MLB debut. It's gonna be hard for them to leave him in the Minors until next May.
Rizzo and Castro been killing the baseball lately. 6-3 over the pirates. They gonna give bryant one of those 7 year 60-70 million dollar deals. similar to Rizzo.
Arrieta is killing! 1.81 ERA So Manny Ramirez is down in triple A Iowa.....hope this clown doesn't become a negative influence on Bryant. Still can't forget how this roided up clown went nuts on us in the 2008 playoffs
Edwin jackson pitched a good game last night. Hector Rondon did a game job also. we took 2 from the red sox. Jake Arrieta has be wonderful for us. we got us soemthing.

^^ I've been talking about that for years. It usually leads to big argument at our local pub, with most of the old timers crying boo hoo. But it's a valid and overlooked point. Think about it, for most 1:20 starts guys are at the stadium at 10-11, if not earlier. They practice, work out, go over scouting, etc. They play a whole game in this weather. Go back to the clubhouse, work out some more and call it a day and try to rest up for the next game....it'll kills their bodies. We need more night games to offset the fatigue and drainage you get from all those day games.
Day games plus night away games and west coast road trips. I'm sure some cubs players goes out at night and party, clubs, something.

Cubs deal Shark and Hammel for Addison Russell and 2 other prospects. Russell, Bryant, Baez are 3 of the top 10 prospects in all of baseball.
The A's are going all the way! SS Russell, OF McKinney, and P Dan Straily......clearly Russell was the gem of the trade I like the addition. Just makes me think what the future has in store for Castro. Now let's see if someone bites on Jackson.
Theo called Castro before the trade and told him not to worry. Starlin is proven at the MLB level, the kids aren't. They will be the ones moved to 2B or OF, or traded for pitching depth.
