Waiters said he'd take a hometown discount. Just hope he follows through.

I'll believe it when I see it man. It's easy to say that until you start seeing real numbers flying at you and what you could make somewhere else. Guess it depends what teams offering him the money. You can offer me $1.6m more to play on a team that is consistently bad but I wouldn't leave for that to be honest.

Hopefully we're not the ones handing them the bag. Love what they did for us this season, but we need stars

He's athletic and has a motor. Seems like a decent fit with Hassan

He may be a good fit at the PF spot too or no?

I was taking about Bam but yeah I think so

Miami trying to get more athletic

Jackson would have been cool but they must really like Rich

Word. Would have liked John Collins over Bam to be real. I'll take it, though.

I had weird hopes we would go for Tyler Lydon out of Syracuse because he could make an immediate impact as a stretch 4. Don't know much about Bam but he has an awesome name lol

Saw some draft workout videos of Bam. I kind of see why we went with him other than the fact that we need front-court depth. Kid was showing hella range from 3. Riles said he shot 30/50 from deep. Not sure if that'll translate in-game but definitely intriguing paired with his athleticism.

If Bam developed a 3, its an absolute steal, day 1 he already does everything spolestra loves

As a Heat fan and UK homer I've watched all of Bam there is to see. Bam's got a high ceiling.

His shot mechanics are actually pretty good. A little slow on the windup but he has long arms and a fairly high release so no problems getting the shot off. Cal doesn't like his big guys taking too many jumpers so he didn't get to show what he could do. Bam is a strong kid on the block. Feel like his base gets almost too wide sometimes and he is not on balance. He will surprise with his ball handling for a guy of his build. Never had any issues getting down the floor. While he can block shots he just does not have the natural instincts to be a premier rim defender. But he can improve.

bam is a "heat" type player.

he will fit in day one and we all know how good the centers from his college usually are.

their numbers never show because that team is stacked. but he will be a good player in this league especially under our management.

Yeah. The NBA T V crew said that last night. Would be some good mentorship from UD.

Also see Bam playing PF. He only played C in college because we got strung out trying to get a commitment from the kid who went to Duke. By the time he chose a school the player that wanted to play for UK(Jarrett) had already committed to Texas. So we had Humphries as our only true center option. He struggled with fast paced teams so Bam became the C for the squad. He should have been playing PF.

Yeah I assumed Bam would be playing PF primarily and thrown in as C in some small-ball situations. Him and Whiteside should compliment each other fairly well especially if he can space the floor with that jumper consistently.
