By the time wall gets back he'll only be 30. Chris Paul is 33 today and will be the highest paid player on the rockets for the next 4 years. You talk about Wall's health like cp3 is an ironman or champion . However bad you think Wall's deal is, just imagine him getting the exact same deal after this one expires and he's 33. That's how bad Paul's contract is

And Has three more years of dad bodied 6 foot PG eating up about a third of their cap space.

CP3 is older... but Wall was already spending large chunks of games standing around even before he tore his Achilles. And his game when he was at his best was much more reliant on speed and athleticism and explosiveness than CP3's. And his contract runs one more year than CP3's. That $47 mil player option for the 2023 season.
