The offer before the season was Levert, Dinwiddie, Allen AND picks.
If they cared about Jarrett Allen, they'd have just taken him. You can disagree with the logic - I'd have probably taken him - but they clearly weren't concerned about him coming their way.

Spencer Dinwiddies are available in the offseason every single year in free agency. Who cares?

It's not better, but it's not like they lost a treasure trove by waiting 6 weeks. They might be more happy with Oladipo and a million picks than the other stuff.

Would you rather Levert, Dinwiddie, Allen, and 1 or 2 firsts OR Oladipo, Exum, Kurucs, and 8 UNPROTECTED FIRST ROUND PICKS?

Caris and Allen are better than what you're going to get at the end of the 1st rd. Example? Kurucs? C'mon. This isn't some BKYN-Celtics P2 where they're all old and washed.

What's the difference between Caris and Oladipo realistically?

They obviously weren't interested in Allen for whatever reason.
