DAMN Duncan's fit. My GOD. Duncan looking like he about to come look at your HVAC system.

Dwade had a good point. The Celtics, although talented, lack an identity. They're not great on team defence (even though they have great defenders), they're not great in transition, they're not known as a 3pt shooting team. The most you hear right now is Tatum and Brown isos.

It's a weird year. Kemba was a known leader, Brown is smart and outspoken, Smart is the heart and soul of the team, Tatum is a good kid with the right approach to the game. What is missing here? They are not a cohesive unit.

Injuries and COVID has f'd their season up. Hard to get any type of cohesion or consistency when there is virtually no consistency in the line up.

Yea they all have extensive experience playing together so you’d expect some sort of continuity whenever everyone is on the court. Those defensive breakdowns are just weird.

Limited practice time before the playoffs so they’re gonna have to gel on the fly. 2nd round matchup against Brooklyn or Philly isn’t looking good.

Also Tatum (among Fred Van Vleet & others) has spoke about how his conditioning is still off after COVID. Jalen had it too. So they have a lot of things working against them right now

This makes sense. It's more or less a lost season at this point. The good news is that Robert Williams is finally breaking out. Ainge will be looked at pretty closely this off-season though.

My wife works at the infection disease unit at a hospital here in Toronto and she says that young adults who survived COVID visit for a check up one to two months after and some of their lungs and hearts look like they aged considerably. It all depends on your immune system, heart/ lung condition and how your body reacts/ fights the virus.

Yeah it's basically a bye year at this point. Fournier plays 2 games and gets COVID. How it has gone for them TBH.

Celtics have:

Jayson Tatum, who's putting up 25/7/4 on 45/38/87
Jaylen Brown, 24/6/4 on 49/40/76
Robert Williams, the best rim runner & shot blocker in the league
Kemba Walker, 4x All-Star
Marcus Smart, an All-NBA defender
Evan Fournier, nearly 20 PPG on 46/40/80
Payton Pritchard, the steal of the draft
Aaron Nesmith, the other steal of the draft

What more do they need?

To be playing in the same games.

I think ppl just expected too much from the Celtics...They don’t have a championship level player leading em yet, so I’m not surprised they not in that mix

They more closer to a team like the Mavs than actually winning anything

Not me I predicted this downfall. Basketball savant. Said they were worse before this season even tipped off and constantly been reiterating but everybody just thinks I'm the crazy young handsome guy. Hopefully after this season they'll learn.

It would just be nice if the starters + Forunier/Thompson could play one single game together this season. If they do that and suck, then so be it.
