Bud Elliot from 247 brings this up a lot: brings this up quite a bit but in a sport where the players are to being paid , the money has to go somewhere. This is why Texas A&M is considering renovating their facilities when they just built.



They're literally making up things to spend money on. This is why you see goofy stuff like slides in locker rooms at Clemson.

Not to mention some of these schools have mega donors for whom money isn't really an object. For example, Matt Ishbia, the CEO and president of United wholesale mortgage is a Michigan State alum worth $8.5 billion. Paying a coach 9.5 million over the next decade isn't crazy money.

Something probably happened last night. OU 247 board runner said last night a team source of his said staff and players had heard the rumors but as of then Riley hadn’t addressed the team which was worse than a confirmation. Source said if there’s nothing to them he needs to deny them because his silence caused a commotion within the team. Sounded like the source was a player parent or assistant. The board runner said his gut was telling him Riley would stay but that he’d never seen anything like what was going on yesterday with everyone saying they didn’t know anything but agreeing it felt weird.
