My best friend’s been lesbian for practically her whole life, until some time after she got raped by a man a year or 2 ago. She’s 25 now and ever since a few months after that happened, she noticed she started feeling attracted to both women and men. So now she identifies as bisexual.

I don’t think it’s that unusual for LGBT folks to be confused about their sexuality, even into their 20s. Not saying that’s what happened in the case you’re referring to, just pointing out it’s not necessarily unusual.
