I struck out on UNC's on snkrs, one of the first pairs I can remember going for on the app. They dropped on 10/10/15, my dad's bday. My friend worked at finishline and not long after they had still had a 12 in stock (dunno if it was a return or just leftover or what) but I passed b/c it was xmas time and I didn't have the extra money. Eventually copped a clean worn pair with no box for $140 shipped off the bay in 2018. Sniped before the off white x unc 1s dropped anticipating a steep increase...definitely didn't see $500+ coming though.

My pair is pretty beat now, as they should be.

I wish they would retro the Unc patent ones but in high form. Those were the shoes that really started it all for me as a kid lol.

I’ve almost copped the UNC’s & the off white one’s too off that alone. But this was right when they dropped.

The DMP 11/6 package was special to me too because me n my moms camped together for em lol. Just good times and memories

Just wait for the retro, it'll come eventually and then you won't feel the need to drop 1.4k on a shoe just because it's an OG cw.

These just came in. Not sure how I feel about them. Box jacked and a couple marks. But clean for the most part. And I hate sending stuff back. Idk.

A lot of boxes come ****ed up right from nike. Also a lot of shoes come with marks or blemishes from nike as well. Even when paying resale you get the same quality control issues. I really could care less about the box personally as long as it’s not in pieces or something.

Exactly. Some of these shoes that released recently haven’t retroed in 20+ years. You definitely won’t catch me waiting 20 years for a chance at retail.

Which retro cw came back around 10-15 years later? I feel like the coveted ones like breds, chis, royals, shadows drop in a shorter time span than that. Plus we know they have the '85 mold and whatever new mold is coming out for the reimagined chis later this year. I feel like Nike would drop the OG cw's on those new molds once they need to bring the AJ1 hype back up. Might be sooner than later with the way AJ1's are performing on the aftermarket lately
