OFFICIAL: Air Trainer 1 Mid Premium aka "Chlorophylls"... paging Wallyhop....

I am really looking forward to a new pair of cholorophylls! But only if the quality is at least on 2008 level (I don't even want to think of 2000's leather...).
In case the 2012's cholorophylls really will have only "pleather" and those plenty toeboxholes, I doubt buying these. I really wonder what Nike is thinking producing such low quality retro stuff throughout the last couple of years (exclusing the SC II QS)...

 

DT2 Deion reds weren't terrible and people seem to have hope for the Marinos dropping sometime this year. Maybe Nike will shock us all and actually do these kinda right.  Either way,  I would say most likely min of 4 pair for me to get me through the foreseeable future.

 

too plain for me... i prefer the SC IIs.

 

i will probably cop only if they dont skimp on the leather like the auburn bo jacksons. i wore them twice since they dropped and they look horrible. if these hit outlets i will cop multiles

i don't have any OGs and I never tried any back in the day. but i found a few "new releases" and they were on a crazy sale, so i got 2 diff color ways.

OMG comfortable! I'm a AF1 & Jordan head. The pairs I don't think I'm going to wear will be going up for sell to get the other color ways in the air trainer SC IIs

 

I want these.

^^Saw that too Wally. Those do look exactly like the '02, '08, and '09 in terms of material quality which is a huge let down. The only thing I like about these is the tongue with the chlorophyll lining. If these are indeed the ones that are scheduled to drop it's another easy pass for me.

 

Crazy thing when the Chlorophyll's came out last they sat at the Nike Outlets and I scopped em up wit ease......man those days are long gone....smh

toebox, although the holes aren't arranged og style-they aren't spread out wide & sloppy, looks good
materials do look low quality - hopefully just the sample & retail pairs are better
sockliner does look stiff, not the old thick cotton stuff (04 at low quality would be better)

i actually think the shape is an improvement - looks to be curved in the back & higher cut than even my 2000 retros
will cop if quality is better on final product
but that can not be expected these days

nike still might have some time to tweek i hope

 

At this point, I would hope for a little better, but I ain't gonna get picky.  Minimum of 3, probably more like 5-6 of these for me if at all possible.  At the end of the day, if these are done 60-70% right, I can safely say I can "leave the game" and walk away for good.  Of course, I would love to see the red/grey/black CW at some point, but these are true classics.

If we got the "shamu" tech challenges, I would probably alternate each of them for a year straight and try and dig up my denim shorts with the built in neon spandex....

 

If they can do what they did with the Safari AT1 on these, I'll be really happy.

 

Yeah the materials look suspect, but I'll reserve judgment for when more concrete info comes out. I'm not gonna say I won't cop a pair if the quality isn't on point. But I'd be more apt to cop 3 or 4 pairs if done correctly like the SC II QS. Do you hear that Nike?

Crooked Tongues already has them up, torn on which pair to get or whether I should just wait for the US release.
