I had the last pair too but needless to say comfort and at least somewhat decent quality materials were just not there. Hoping for a better fitting version this time if they do release.

Speaking of which, I’ll try to get a photo up.
I have a crumbled 2000 pair and it has the full length air, unlike the recent pairs that just never felt right. I think the first batch of retros were done all very well, but downhill after that. I had a hunch the 2000 era had full length, and I finally got to see that as the whole midsole crumbled like bread crumbs.

my2012s are finally making a turn for the worst. Midsole coming undone from the upper. Yellowing. So this will come at a good time. All these trainers have lifespans of maybe 13-14 years. Don’t wait. Wear your sneakers. I’m glad I eventually only bought one pair (returned multiple from 6pm/Zappos). Some were definitely made better than others. But none used great materials.

I have two pairs of 2012s that I'm wearing and they're holding up fine. A 2008 pair I wear less frequently is holding strong as well. That said, I'll take a few new pairs for sure.

Anybody know which colorway is MJ wearing here? I'm not even certain it's an AT1 but looks like a low version.

I remember when the Jordan Legacys came out, sneaker sites were making the AT1 connection rather than the Alpha connection.

R.I.P. my dear Air Trainer 1 low... :ohwell:

Too bad, but don't give them rest! Judging by the regular cracking, it is separation, will not be too difficult to keep wearing them a little more. Mask tape the midsole around the crack, and brush glue each part with Angelus shoe cement or Barge one, following the instructions. It uses a far amount of glue, but managed to repair more serious crackings with this strong yet flexible glue, even introducing it with syringe to replace foam. Don't know how long it lasts but do if you love them!
