I dont think they added date because of the release of the jersey, its based off the 95-96 jersey just gold

They just made gold jerseys

The jersey is from the year 95-96 material, twill, etc wise

They made swingmans of players they didn’t even have a gold champion jerseys made

Right, technically it's 1996-97 cuz thats when the originals were made, but then it would look stupid to have a gold nba logo on it to be consistent with everything from that year. then again he never wore it so they coulda put any year the bulls wore stitched numbers.
