Did anyone else see this movie? I just got back frm seeing it in IMAX 3D. Visually it was very good. The story didnt catch me as much as it should since i wasalready famiiar with the story of Beowulf (The OG Superhero) How did you guys like it? Anyone see Angelina's nipples? Because they were definately MIA

I've been debating whether or not I should see this movie - the lead actor looks corny... the title sounds lame... BUT it's in 3D and Angelina plays asupporting role so I get to see her DSL and nice body...but now that you say her nips are covered gives me the impression that any resemblance to a soft-corepornography that this film may have had is destroyed, and there's no chance in hell I'd have Angelina's 3D ******* in my face.

my friends had 2 extra ticket and right when i got to the theater they sold them

its not that her chest is covered...its just that her nipples are non existant. Like she never had them in the first place

oh and its called beowulf because the name of the original poem is Beowulf haha.
 
Beowolf was a book. One of the oldest books ever found...They don't have an exact date on when it was written...This book has always been a favorite ofmine since the 7th grade and when I was able to reread this book for my Western Civ. course two years ago I kept the book. The visuals do look great...But thestory...I don't know...A lot of the reviews spoke how it didn't a lot of emphasis on the story. Ah well I definitely need to watch this.
 
if it is like the book about him fighting grendel than this movie would be pretty tight. i liked the book.
 
They changed some parts of the story.

Visually, it was amazing. The storyline didn't flow very well and there were a few moments I actually felt bored during the movie.

I expected a lot more from it, to be honest.
 
I went to see it during my break and 10 minutes into the movie I realized it's CGI.
 
I gotta read the book for class, so i might as well watch the movie to help get a better understanding of the novel.
What would you rate the movie (out of 10)?
 
It was alright.
If your expecting something rated R, youll be dissapointed this was more like pg13.

The only way you can survive this movie, imo, is if you and a bunch of friends make stupid captain obvious comments all throughout (HEY I think Beowulfisn't wearing any clothes! or "Hey, doesn't Grendel's mother look like Angelina Jolie?!") or if you go drunk or

i cant wait until I read the book and engulf myself in beowolf culture making nothing but Beowolf references to people who aren't down!!!.... I need to gowatch that movie again.... sober?? I dunno.....

that movie was some next level stuff and provoked every emotional response possible!!

Like everyone else i was expecting a lot more people actually left during the movie.. usually i hate peoples comments in theaters but it was necessary for thismovie. My opinion save your money it might be better on DVD
 
It was funny at times, when it should have not.

Like the part when the queen tells Beowulf "Many men have traveled the seas to taste the kings meat" or something like that. Half the theater waslike what? and proceeded to LOL
 
One of the best epic's I ever read. Straight from the Scandinavian warrior society. There is no exact date of which the story was composed b/c it was toldorally until it was written. We know that it was changed during the writing process because there is an influence from the Church. They definitely changed alot in the movie. I'll see it but I'm not going to like it as much as the book.
