Have you begun using your Tour under Edge. If you are satisfied enough with EDGE and the BBM over EDGE, let me know. Not going to lie, most of the time I'm in a WIFI available area...but I still don't know I can justify paying for a new device that downgrades from 3G to EDGE.
  

i'm on edge most of the time and it's fine. to be honest, blackberry's aren't as internet intensive so being on edge vs 3G isn't THAT big of a deal... i guess if you're on google maps it could be a real pain in the @#@ to load the map on edge. i'm on tmobile if it matters, they're 3G isnt' as great as the big dogs but it gets the job done.

True.. but I still don't think I can go back from 3G to EDGE therefore I'm selling the Storm 2 on eBay... 24 hr auction will be up tonight. If anyone wants a link... PM me... or maybe I'll promote it later

Copped an AT&T 9700 which should work 3G cuz of the same frequencies, etc. If it doesn't... I'm selling that and quitting the hunt for a 3G BB.

RIM, you have got to be kidding me. I'm going to go ahead and assume that the Curve 3G is newer than the 8900. Why in the blue hell is the 8900 still better spec'd? It's so stupid how they're being so backwards with everything! I'm still mad that the 9700 is still $200 with contract; its been nearly a year (which is like 3 years from a technological perspective) since the phone has released and its still at the same price point as the iPhone4. /rant. Anyways, how does one go about getting a new phone from At&t without having to sacrifice your current one? I'm planning on just buying a used 9700 for $225ish and using my upgrade to buy an iphone4 and just flipping it. Thing is, I wouldn't know how to take my SIM out if they ship it to me like that.

since the iPhone 4 uses a completely different sized SIM card, you would have to get a new SIM with the phone.

is anyone having problems with there internet over the past few days? my bold has been switching in and out of service all day and even goes to SOS every once in awhile, i keep rebooting but it still is having its problems. havnt called yet but will try tomorrow. I have at&t by the way. also on anyones 9000, has there speakers gone out, mines out and this will already be my third time exchanging the bold, problem is though, i cant upgrade till january. with the kind of service ive been getting lately with at&t and blackberry customer support, it really brings into consideration either me switching phone companies or switching to the iphone.

My 9700 crashed. Froze while I was in bb chat. Did a battery reset, and its been rebooting ever since. Did the battery pull at 230pst and its been stuck on the loading screen. Load a lil, then turn right back off

thinking about going back to android or iphone. Hell ,y 2year old g1 has better screen resolution than the 9700, imo. Hopefully this desktop manager reboot works, or I'm bouncing.
