Trunks has had the benefit of having a whole arc with him at the center. Hoping that in the future Gohan gets some plot significance. Between the anime and the manga strength is there to make him relevant.

The future trunks from super is *** (design wise). Shoulda left it alone and present time kids trunks and android/cell saga future trunks as the only 2 trunks

Fusion Reborn makes more sense based on the datamining
He’s being paired with Tapion so SSJ would make more sense with that pairing and since they already made Vegito SSGSS I can’t see them making Gogeta that way too
