Official FIFA Soccer 13 Thread: Out Now!

Don't know if its considered difficult or an accomplishment but I decided to try the interactive World Cup mode and won each division in my first attempt.

Wanted to see if I can do it and I did :pimp:

Won the top division on the last match. It was dope and fun, but wayyy too life consuming :lol:

I like that each player has an 85 rating so that its not Barca vs real every match and the clowns that abuse 4-3-3 longballing with speedy players don't get to exploit the game.

I won it with Athletic Bilbao btw

quick tips:

shoot with B or just O depending on system. no modifers unless your instincts tell u to

I find the biggest issue for a lot of players is that they're too slow with their touch and pass against aggressive defenders. use the aggression of players against them when defenders fly at you, be quick with your touch and pass, and give and go at the right moments to punish them. also when you turn one way, don't turn back the other way if you second guess your touch while you're at a complete stop. ur most likely gunna lose the ball.

don't cross for the most part. just cut back or mix it up by making a run along the line toward goal. either you get a shot, pass to a good shot, or a corner.

start modric instead of khedeira if ur using real madrid.

^ :lol: I like khedeira. He's always seems to be in the right spot and causes havoc on defense. If I need a goal then I'll sub modric in for him
 
I find him to be a liability on offense, idk it might just be a mental thing for me but I'm not confident on the ball with him

Finishing has been transformed with Pure Shot so players have the intelligence to adjust their stride and approach angle to find the best position for hitting the back of the net. Well-hit balls feel more exhilarating and rewarding. New shot types include pure strikes, as well as off-balance and rushed shots. Plus, Real Ball Physics now determines the trajectories of balls, enabling players to kick the ball with force from distance, drill low rising shots with accuracy, and blast dipping or turbulent shots, just like real footballers.

Fans will be able to create rewarding build up to opportunities and have the tools to dictate the tempo of a match through four new features. Protect The Ball will enable players to fend-off and block defenders from the ball while dribbling at any speed, or out-muscle opponents for position before receiving the pass, then turn defenders to carve out opportunities. Teammate Intelligence has been improved on both sides of the ball. New decision-making logic delivers tighter, smarter marking and improved run tracking where defenders recognize opportunities to provide support and win back possession, while attacking players have new ways to outsmart their opponents by creating space for themselves, running along the backline and checking their pace. Major changes to ball control add new tools to win the midfield battles. Sprint Dribble Turns enable players to turn in every direction at sprint speed while preserving momentum, delivering the control and confidence to take on defenders one-on-one. Variable Dribble Touches introduces variety on touches when sprinting. Skilled players will have better touch and more control when sprinting with the ball.

In addition to innovations to gameplay, FIFA 14 is introducing a game-changing new way to play Career Mode. The Global Scouting Network brings the world of professional scouting to life. Players now develop and refine a scouting network and search for talent year-round. They should stop adding some of these bogus features and fix the broken things they already have.

There better be some type of online dynasty though.
 
Next year is the World Cup so probably. Idk how well the whole 'Euro Cup as a DLC' turned out for them but they would need to have almost all countries so it'll probably be separate for licensing to the Brasil's mascot for example and official songs etc. the confederations cup is this year but they usually have enough teams already to fill a 16 nation tourney before the WC.

They don't address their servers and I read nothing on Defender speed lol

I want more leagues though, no one cared about the Saudi Arabian league, get me the Turkish or Ukrainian leagues

Need to fix lofted through balls and they need to make pace less of a factor on UT. its ridiculous at this point. You need to have a pacey team on UT to have a chance.






I'm still gonna buy though.

Neymar, Bale, Chicharito, Hummels, Javi Martinez on the same squad :lol:

Had Bale up to 96 overall :lol:

Sounds like this games gunna have a lot of wrinkles in it with all the new features and like '15 will be where the real improvement is.

If they do get all these new features right on the first try then major props to them

Need to fix the ridiculous tackling, makes no sense for defenders to give up the ball to 5foot attackers in the box 90% of the time, its at a point now where dudes only rely on that for the whole game.

Lol at Bale being at White Hart Lane next season.
