That was a great interview. I'm home sick so I watched the whole thing. His thoughts seemed organized (for Ye) and he was articulating himself fairly well. He made a lot of good points. The woman giving the interview was also great. My only complaint was when she finally asked about the new album he went off on a tangent and did not mention when it would be released or give any updates.

Is Cruel Winter really happening? 

I will try to answer this the best I can from my memory of what he said in the interview.

From what I understand (and this is my first hearing about this) yes and it's done. He was talking about making a video with kids running in a a panoramic type room where you see/hear them on your right (like on the wall), then they're in front of you (main screen), then they're gone on your left (on the wall). Then on the ground you see grass and on the ceiling the sky.

So he wanted to do videos like this and wanted to film it in Qatar. Pitched it but no one from the big film companies would give him the money or support. So what he did was tell the record company he's making an album, to basically trick them into giving him money to do what he wants (with his artistic vision). And then he said something like, "then I end up being featured rapping on seven songs." He laughed it off like he didn't wanna do it or never intended but it was what needed to be done to make his video or whatever. But he was excited about a Cruel Summer type thing returning and he said it will eventually return. Probably in the form of this cruel winter thing especially if that track list is real.

In summary, it seems like it is happening as a result of wanting to do something completely different lol. I would expect a really cool video out of it in addition to some new GOOD Music songs.
