yes. both him and kobe were useless today. serious question. if that was farmar and sasha shooting the way kobe and fisher did today everyone would be calling for the death of them....right? smh... never thought i would see kobe's talent diminish so quickly

Kobe's finger is hurting his shot but his "talent" is still there. And looks like the rest got his legs going (the block, dunk and good lift on his shots).  Not that Kobe gets a free pass that Sasha, Farmar or Fisher dont have but you have to consider that shooting a ball with one of your guide fingers broken and wrapped is going to affect it.
Also if Kobe stroke isnt there he shouldnt rely on it so much in the 4th when the ball should be going down low. I would prefer him driving to the rim and finding the open man or trying to get FT's rather then trying to close games from the perimeter with a messed up finger.

but you know that has always been kobe. trying to kill you with a difficult perimeter shot. i dont think anybody on the lakers has the balls totell him to go to the rim. not even phil. its getting worse. atleast earlier when he first broke his finger he was making his free throws but now hes not even doing that.

fisher, kobe, and artest were just horrible shooting wise. cant believe the bench shot better than them...

fisher smh... he cant defend or shoot...

where did aggressive odom go?

Ron Artest didn't do anything yesterday, but remind people that Dennis Rodman played basketball.

It wasn't that he was on him, but that there were always 2 solid defenders on him, and he knew he couldn't trust his teammates except Westbrook.

If you would've seen Zombie Sonic games before this one, you'd know that all of Durant and Westbrook's teammates were shook before the game starts. They used to be interchangeable beasts like the Jazz. Ibaka, Green, Sefolosha, Maynor, Harden all of em should've had decent days the way the Lakers left em in the second half.

Gasol and Bynum did their thing though.

Today was a good day....

yessir

i wished the Lakers kept that 17 point lead but of course that didnt happen...westbrook is a straight beast...there was no answer for him whatsoever...he can do what aaron brooks did to us last year...westbrook got them back in the game and hopefully we can shut him down for the rest of the series...artest didnt shut down durant...our team defense finally showed up! but artest youre killing me with those open 3s...ariza wouldve made those
nerd.gif

with that said i still think its going 7 due the fact that we gave them confidence that they can play with us

You're being real ridiculous with your negativity right now. I know yall think it works or whatever, but c'mon man. First of all Fisher is needed and his big shots change the mnomentum of the games big time and when he does it every single playoff run, its not, "yea he does that BUT," No - No buts. Yea Westbrook killed him in that stretch but thats as much of our bigs bad as it was his, acting like Westbrook hasnt been doing that to every team he played against. Also, everybody who hated on Bynum and Artest in the game threads and season thread G T F O and your team cards have been revoked. We beat them pretty easily with a bad game from Kobe, not sure how he's going to fix his shot but I know he will, somehow, someway. Kobe's talent didnt diminish, he just needs to readjust to the most important finger on his SHOOTING HAND being 3 times as big.

Artest definitely played about as good as he's capable of playing on defense against Durant.

However it seems like there was such a big deal made about it, like he shut Durant down. Durant needs to adjust his approach and not settle for all these jumpers. There is a lot of truth to the notion that Durant just missed shots he usually drains. He had a lot of open looks.

People who said Artest completely shut down Durant does not watch Durant play much. He had a lot of good looks and it clearly looked it like he was really nervous

You kind of contradict yourself, becuase the only way he got open is running off of screens and hitting those jumpers whether he had the ball or not in his hand already. That's what he needs to do, Artest wont be able to run around with him the whole time. If they put him on the block or change things up, then Artest is just too strong.

Serious.  Dude's are hilarious not giving Artest his props.  Bet money if it was their boy, we'd be hearing about this as if it was some legendary moment of him shutting down the great Durant in the playoffs.

What are you talking about dude? Artest had Durant shook. Durant had  great shots, and very makeable, but it was artests presence that altered them. C'MON SON YOUR BETTER THAN THAT

Artest locked boy up, no doubt.

Seriously the thunder have no shot to win. Some of y'all just figuring this out. The Lakers have 3 above average defenders to put on Durant, hemay steal one game, but the Lakers are about to remind everyone that they are the champs.
