Since the first preseason game is tonight, I figured it was time to move on from the offseason thread and start the new season thread.

As excited as I've ever been for the start of a season.

Don't think I've been this pumped for a preseason game in a while. Maybe because its Friday. I don't know. But I'm already picturing myself in my favorite chair, in front of my flat screen, with a beverage, to watch the game.

Shots aren't falling, but I like the way the second unit is looking. Good chemistry so far.

Rough around the edges, but already farther along at this point this year than we were last year. Looked much better. The intensity was there. 

And Josh Smith is already  miles better than Spencer Hawes.

Even though I still think he's the odd man out and won't be surprised if he doesn't finish the season, I have to say I liked the way Crawford played last night. Was looking to distribute first and took open shots or looked to take advantage of a favorable match-up. He's got better PG instincts than Austin, so that might end up being the role he plays on the second unit.

We'll see. I think its going to take some experimenting to figure out what 2nd unit combos work the best. And yeah, shoeking, I liked what I saw from Josh too.

And pablo progioni is exactly who I thought he was. Love the fit. Wont play big minutes but will end up playing some very important ones

Maybe. But the team made a trip to China like 3 years ago and it didn't seem to have much long-lasting impact. But it might be more beneficial this time since we have so many new guys.

I disagree completely. Think if he gets the start at the 3 he can be exactly what the doctor ordered for the Clips.

Hopefully I am wrong but what I have seen during the Denver game I was not impressed miss Matt Barnes

Bro they've played 2 preseason games 

Wesley Johnson has been a better 3pt shooter than Matt barnes his entire career and has been borderline elite from the corners this past few seasons. There's no reason not to be cautiously optimistic about Wesley, provided he starts. 

If he doesn't start and has to play with 2nd unit guys, well then my outlook on wes isn't nearly as promising.

Yes it is. That was the only bright spot from the game last night. Except I don't think Blake is being aggressive enough with his own offense.

Second unit is not impressing me at all.

Good news on injury front. Doc said Austin and CP were both able to practice today/should be available tomorrow.

Austin Rivers initially expected he would need to wait until around Thursday to get cleared, so must have healed faster than expected
