Official Mitchell and Ness Thread: Jerseys, Hats, Shirts, Shorts, Questions POST EM UP

Trash....... go green !

Since I shared the Nets Jason Kidd navy blue jersey I have two days ago and jaypesoz jaypesoz suggested they should also make the alternate gray jersey, I think they should eventually make Nets jerseys of Kidd in all the colors he wore when he was with them because he'll always be a Nets legend.

The home white jersey from the 2001-02 season with the 9/11 memorial patch would be nice, especially since it's the preferred mesh material.

Although they already made the navy jersey, it would actually be nice if they made a revised version with the mesh material and the 9/11 memorial patch on it. It was also a significant first season he had with them because he took them to the 2002 NBA Finals, so it would have made more sense than the 2006-07 version they made.

The alternate gray jersey that jaypesoz jaypesoz mentioned would definitely be a nice one to come out with despite it having the dreaded wide shoulders. But at least it's the mesh material.

The alternate red jersey he wore in his latter years with the Nets would also be a nice one to come out with despite it being the less preferable Dri•Fit material.

I would never be interested in this throwback version if they ever made it, but I bet there would be a demand for it if they came out with it because of the throwback gimmick, especially since the throwback jersey fad was still active in 2003. It's definitely unique because it was worn during the 2003 NBA Finals, and I don't believe a team ever wore a throwback version of their jerseys in a NBA Finals. I can see peeps wearing this one in the present.

Man, I was really hoping that Griffey 42 tweet that got posted a few pages back was an exaggeration, but mine came in today and good grief. Grabbed the first thing I could find to give the numbers a bit of scale (big ups Warren G!). I know we give M&N a lot of crap on their inaccuracies, but this is inexcusable. Part of me thought about just digging the seam ripper out and getting the numbers replaced, but that's an extra $50 I don't wanna spend on an already overpriced jersey. For reference, this is a size 48/XL with these tinyass numbers...

Sadly I think MN use the same size numbers/name whether the jersey is a size 36 or 60

When Reebok took over the Champion contracts in 2003, they made adjustments to the shoulder width and collar logo on the gray Nets jerseys. It would be cool to have M&N release the later version.

Thanks for elaborating with these photos.

The shoulder width looks the same to me. The only thing that's different is the front collar design.

Reebok took over the teams that had the Champion contracts in time for the 2002-03 season. I remember it well back in 2002 because all the Magic Tracy McGrady authentic jerseys available in stores were Reebok by the time that season began during fall.

but that is how it should be right?

although i do not understand they have a size 36..... "real" jerseys start at 40 or 42, right?
The size the astros Jose Altuve use i think

I think the OP was complaining the numbers are not proportional to the garment. And I think he has a valid point.

It'll bug you more, but the crest and 20th patch are both undersized also. The 20th patch especially. Color looks way off too. They botched that Griffey.
